Last week, I had the pleasure of visiting the new Celebrity Cruises ship in Liverpool – Apex.
It’s chic interiors, modern design, balcony cabins that bring the outside in and a Magic Carpet where you can enjoy an aperitif or two will all add to your cruising in style experience.
Cashmere mattresses will ensure a sound nights sleep after a day of peaceful reflection in a quiet corner, joining in the many on board activities or enjoying a new destination via a shore excursion.
Whether you like to window shop or make purchases, you will find Cartier and Bvlgari amongst the boutique options on Apex.
Main seating for dinner is no longer one restaurant but a choice of four on Apex – Normandie, Tuscan, Cosmopolitan and Cyprus. Each has its own ambience generated by their individual decor, staff and unique twists on the dishes featured on the menu.
For something a little more special, then there are several speciality restaurants to choose from, all of which are available with a cover charge.
Guests booking in to Aqua class will have access to the SEA Thermal Suite included in addition to having a personal Spa concierge and complimentary fitness classes. The menu at the exclusive Aqua Class guest restaurant, Blu, offers clean cuisine and some newer, healthy options.
For further exclusivity, then book a Retreat suite. On Apex, this includes a private restaurant (luminae at the retreat) in additional to access to an exclusive lounge and sundeck. The Retreat has its own team of butlers, concierges and attendants to cater for your every whim.
Throughout the day, join in a quiz or some other entertainment arranged by the crew at The Club, head to the spa for a treatment or perhaps use the up-to-date gym on board. In the evening, the Theatre plays host to a different show or act each evening.
On deck, there is a pool (in addition to one inside!) and two jacuzzis, both of which you will find in ‘champagne’ glasses with a birds eye view of the deck below and the sea. For lunch, the buffet restaurant with so many stations to choose from, is located just off the outdoor pool area. There is also an outdoor grill too if you prefer to stay on your pool lounger to dine. On the top deck, you will find the Rooftop Garden where you can also find something to eat in exquisitely designed seating area, and just around the corner you have the Sunset bar – the perfect spot for a chilled drink in the heat of the day or to watch the ship sail away from port whilst getting some lovely sea air.
