Happy New Year!!!
Wow, I don’t know about you but the build up to Christmas seems to go on for seemingly months these days and then in the blink of an eye, the day has been and gone in the blink of an eye and then the normality of the New Year makes the festive season a soon distant memory.
Each year, one or more charities are chosen to which donations are made in lieu of client and supplier Christmas cards. I like to think that this not only helps our beautiful planet, but also it brings something a little extra to somebody somewhere over, what can be, a very difficult time of year.
This year, three charities were selected – two closer to home and one to help children across the world.
My first stop was KidsBank in Chester where I handed over a box of childrens toys and gifts for little ones through to 11 year olds in and around Chester.
The next port of call was Mecca Bingo in Wrexham – the dropping off point for Wrexham’s Everyone Deserves a Christmas (EDAC) campaign, headed up by MP Sarah Atherton.
Lastly, a financial donation was made online to UNICEF, who work tirelessly for vulnerable & suffering children across the world.
