The rules around travel globally are changing constantly, but here is our current understanding of COVID entry requirements for both the UK and some of the more popular European destinations as they are today!

                  Italy

Update
Travel dates up to and including 19th December 2021From 6th December 2021, people aged 12 and over, including minors aged 12-17, will not be able to obtain a Super Green Pass on the basis of a negative test therefore, meaning this age group must be fully vaccinated.A Green Pass is required for activities including: indoor seating in bars and restaurants, museums, exhibitions, sporting events, ski lifts.
United Kingdom
From 04:00 on Tuesday 7th Dec 2021 you will now require a negative pre-departure Covid test in order to enter/return in to the UK.This can be either a lateral flow OR PCR test.In addition to this, you will also still need to take a PCR test before the end of your second day after arrival back in the UK and self-isolate at least until a negative result comes through.Upon check in for your return flight, ferry, train to the UK, the following will be requested by your carrier:If you are VACCINATED a) negative pre departure testb) PLFc) vaccine certificate (as this allows them to skip the ten day mandatory self isolation and D8 test)If you are NOT VACCINATEDa) negative pre-departure testb) PLF
Cyprus
All UK arrivals into Cyprus will have to pay to take a COVID-19 PCR test on arrival at the airport and self-isolate at your accommodation until you get the result (usually within four hours).Both cash and card are accepted and tests are charged locally at €15. You can pre-book and pay for a test before prior to travel here.
France
All arrivals must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR or rapid antigen test result before departing for France. When you need to take the test depends on your vaccination status:• If you are fully vaccinated, you will need to do this within 48 hours before departure• If you are not fully vaccinated, you will need to do this within 24 hours of departure
Portugal
From 1st December 2021, any passenger aged 12 years or over must provide a pre-departure negative COVID-19 test to enter mainland Portugal. This can be either a COVID-19 PCR, LAMP or TMA test taken, at most, 72 hours before your scheduled departure time                                  ORa COVID-19 rapid antigen (RAT) test taken, at most, 48 hours before your scheduled departure time.
Spainincluding the Balearic and Canary Islands
From 1st December 2021, all customers over the age of 12 years old must provide proof of being fully vaccinated on arrival.
