At this time each year, we make a donation to charity in lieu of sending Christmas cards – it’s a win win situation as saving a few trees helps our carbon footprint but a lovely, much deserving charity benefits too. This year, it has been a particularly difficult decision as to which charity should benefit as so many need so much in the current situation that the UK finds itself in – let alone many parts of the world too.
In the end, the PDSA was our chosen beneficiary. The UK is a nation of animal lovers, including us, and so many vulnerable people will struggle this year to pay vets fees when their beloved pets and furry best friends need medical attention. When the world around is cold, lonely and quite simply miserable, our dogs, cats, rabbbits and any other animal friends are great companions and offer comfort and warmth. We don’t want anybody having to face the very difficult situation of not being able to help their pets when in need of medical attention and with this in mind, we felt that this charity needed a little bit more help in this year above all others.
