If you are travelling to Bali on or after February 14th 2024, then you will need to be prepared for the new tourist levy that the island is bringing in to force this Valentine’s Day.
The fee of approximately £7.50 per arrival on to the island will also be applied upon re-entry should you take a side trip over to neighbouring paradise islands Lombok and the Gili Islands.
The new fee will apply to each person, children included, therefore as collection of the fee will be made on a per person, per entry basis, those choosing to do a little island hopping/multi centre stays with more than one entry on to the island, payment would have to be made more than once and possibly even several times.
Although you can opt to pay this levy on arrival in to Bali, I would recommend you pay your fee via the Love Bali website or app prior to travel as this may help alleviate potential issues and delays after, what could be, a long journey. Should you decide to utilise the electronic method of payment in advance of travelling to the island, then you will receive a voucher via email, which will be scanned upon your arrival at the airport, or indeed port.
