If you’re anything like us, then lots of holidays revolve around food. In fact, we get totally excited about each of our destinations when we discuss what there is to eat there 🥘🫕🍕🧇🍱🍧🍲. With choices ever expanding (just like our waistlines!), culinary holidays are becoming more and more popular.
We’ve had a hard time whittling down our top 3 destinations for foodies in Europe, but with so many options out there with incredible cuisine, some of our clients favourites won out!
1. Sicily, Italy 🇮🇹
Sicily is a gastronomist’s delight! Take Italy’s delicious cuisine and embellish it with wonderful local sun-drenched produce, together with spices brought over by the Moors! Sicily is known for its ‘agriturismo’s’, rustic farmhouse resorts or boutique properties offering the authentic organic foods grown on the land and prepared lovingly in-house. Morning catch of seafood and fish, freshly-made pasta, creamy risotto and the infamous cannoli’s all on offer. Sicily really does have it all. Don’t forget to follow every meal with a mouth-watering, lip-smacking limoncello from Sicily too, your digestion will thank you for it 😉.
To highlight one perfect example of a culinary and wine destination of choice on this beautiful island of Sicily 🇮🇹, let’s truly get your juices flowing by introducing you to 🍇 RELAIS TORRE MARABINO 🍇 .
A beautiful organic farm located in the south of Sicily, covering about 120 hectares of land where everything is grown to perfection.
La Moresca, the gourmet farmhouse restaurant in Torre Marabino is a Mediterranean location serving seasonal menus, dishes of the Sicilian gastronomic tradition interpreted in a modern key and accompanied by a selection of native wines produced by the Marabino winery.
You could simply enjoy the delights of its culinary experts or try a hand in experiencing a complete lesson of Sicilian food and wine culture yourself, since La Moresca restaurant organises cooking classes with tasting of typical Sicilian dishes and wines.
Attention to detail with the food produce is wonderful at this property – the quality of the food and drink is truly Bellissimo 😋.

2. Tenerife, Spain 🇪🇸
Tenerife holidays are at the forefront of gastronomic quality across the Canary Islands and you’ll find a wide range of restaurants in this picturesque volcanic region. Authentic Canarian food consists of grilled meats 🥩 and fish, with Tenerife’s signature potato dish, Papas Arrugadas (add a side of spicy mojo sauce for a mouth-tantalising additional hit of flavour). Tapas including patatas bravas, garlic prawns 🦐 in sizzling oil and calamari with garlic and chilli are all perfect to nibble on while you sip on an ice cold Dorada – Tenerife’s native beer. 🍺 (or a sangria 🏺 – whatever takes your fancy!)
3. Madeira, Portugal 🇵🇹
Madeira always blows us away with its beauty, but the food is its cherry on top. Madeira is something of a foodie haven, with tropical dishes and drinks. From incredibly ugly (but equally delicious), Peixe espada black scabbard fish to 🐟 Bolo do caco, a moreish, chewy, circular flatbread 🫓 or Espetada, exquisitely grilled beef, there is something new to try here every single meal of a week-long holiday. Remember to wash everything down with a glass of traditional Madeira wine too 🍷.
