Day 1 – 2: Santiago

Depart Longon on your overnight flight to Santiago. Upon arrival you will be transfer to your hotel in the trendy Lastarria neighbourhood, for 1 night at the Singular Santiago. After settling in, spend your first evening exploring the capital’s exciting gastronomic scene. Preferred Benefit: Chocolates and 25% discount at the spa for Latin Routes clients.

Days 3 – 6: Patagonia (Torres del Paine)

After a good night’s rest, take the three-and-a-half-hour flight south into Chilean Patagonia, where the scenery suddenly becomes dramatically different! At the airport you will be met by a representative from the historic Singular Patagonia and taken by road directly to the hotel, for 3 nights on the shores of Last Hope Fjord in Puerto Bories.

As part of your all-inclusive package, all excursions from the hotel are included and, on arrival, a knowledgeable guide will help you to decide which of their tours are perfect for you.

You will have plenty of time to experience an array of thrilling and memorable activities (ranging in difficulty) in various spectacular locations, including the iconic Torres del Paine National Park. Day 7: Valparaiso

From Torres Del Paine you will fly from Punto Arenas to Santiago where you will be met by your driver, who will then take you to the Palacio Astorica, for 1 night in fascinating Valparaiso.

This chic seaport is a UNESCO World Heritage site and was once an important stopping point for ships sailing around Cape Horn.

It has recently experienced a renaissance and is the home to many of Chile’s finest artisans. The city is a significant gastronomic destination in Chile. The Palacio Astoreca’s restaurant ‘Alegre’ has received plaudits from the UK’s luxury travel press and is well worth a visit. Preferred Benefit: Small bottle of sparkling wine and upgrade on arrival (subject to availability) for Latin Routes clients.

Days 8 – 10: Atacama Desert

Today you will be transferred back to Santiago for your fight North to the driest, highest desert on earth where you will marvel at the bizarre lunar landscapes and star-filled skies that characterise the amazing Atacama Desert.

The five-star Alto Atacama Desert Lodge and Spa will be your home for the next 3 nights, as you experience the magic of this fascinating corner of Chile, again on an all inclusive basis. You will even have a complementary welome massage!

The desert heat brings a welcome opportunity to sunbathe in the lodge’s six outdoor pools in your free time and, once the sun has gone down, to spend a romantic evening under the stars in their outdoor hot-tub. To truly understand the constellations, no visit to Alto is complete without a stargazing tour in their own super-sized telescope, followed of course by a warming hot chocolate before bed! Preferred Benefit: 30-minute welcome revival massage.

Day 11: Departure

From San Pedro de Atacama, you will be transferred to the mining town of Calama to catch a flight to Santiago, from where you will connect to your overnight flight back to the UK.
